by Norman Ross Publishing (NRP) and was completed in December 2003 by Ross

of the volumes in the reprint and the reports cataloged by Dubester revealed
that a number of items toward the end of the edition, under the heading "Special

We received the reprinted Census a couple of weeks ago, and just a few minutes ago I gave myself the pleasure of taking a look at it. It is an excellent production. There is no question that the color maps and charts, as reprinted, are more vibrant and dramatic than the now faded century-old originals; and you came down on the side of liberality and functionality whenever there was a choice as to whether to reprint in color or not. The text is very crisply and handsomely reprinted as well, and the binding or casing is sturdy, important to us in the case of large and heavy volumes destined for many years of use. We are fortunate to have a reprinter of your integrity to undertake this project. Frank Conaway, University of Chicago Library |
